The mud pits at Vulcano Solfatara. This volcana is at the base of the hill where my grandmother's home is, and I feel like I grew up with this volcano! The boys loved it (but it was stinky)!

One of the public paths in Herculaneum, a city destroyed with Pompeii in the Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD. So much of the city was so well preserved!
